Watch the TrailerWhat’s the answer? What’s the meaning? I’m left wondering, what and why? Not good! Legion leaves me thinking, what’s the purpose? Nevertheless, there were some interesting and edge-of-your seat scenes that went on. Yet, nothing too strong that warranted the loud mouth people in my audience. They were chatty as heck. I mean come on. It was like we were all at my cousin’s house or something watching it on a big screen. Every little increase in sound or quick movement in the film, this one woman had to scream or talk back to the screen. Sistagal, I’m talking to you right now, we don’t care to hear you talking and screaming. We did not go to see Legion to get a sideshow from you. Do me a favor Sistagal and shut up!
Now that I got that off my chest, God is fed up with mankind in this film. He’s lost all faith in his people. Many moons ago he sent a flood to show his anger and this time he is using angels to eradicate the human race. The archangel Michael (Paul Bettany, The Secret Life of the Bees) decides he wants to go against God and help save mankind from Judgment Day. His main goal is to protect the unborn baby of a waitress at a small dingy looking diner. It sure isn’t easy to do when you have a bunch of zombie looking folks trying to get their kill on.
Michael isn’t alone in his battle. He has an oddball group of people at the diner who ban together in the fight against the angels. You couldn’t get more of I diverse background of people than in this diner.

I forgot that Tyrese (Transformers) was in this flick. When I first saw him pop up on screen, I was surprised. It was nice to see him. I love how he acts. He just comes with it. It’s like POW! Here I am. When he speaks.
Legion was grotesque at times and funny at others. The one-liners were actually comical especially with Dennis Quaid and Charles S. Dutton (Roc). The fight scenes between Michael and his brother Gabriel made up for the wordy and boring speech scenes. Men with metal wings fighting. That's different.
There was a lot of action, but senseless monotonous shooting. Just bang-bang-bang- bang-bang-bang-bang-bang-bang. AND bang-bang-bang-bang-bang-bang. It was just like that. And some more bang-banging. Seriously!
Legion may confuse some. Others –Christians – may find the movie distasteful and just ridiculous. It depends. I say just use your imagination and go with it or you’ll feel cheated by it all. If you watch it, just giggle a bit, jump a few times at the semi-scary parts, pump your fists at the action sequences, and roll your eyes as you yawn at the jiveness of many of the other scenes. You might be safer renting this one.
